Default Brushguard mounting question

I just installed the Pure Polaris Brushguard on my SP800 and I have a moumting question. There are two sets of holes on the brushguard where it bolts to the mounting brackets, the instructions say to use the two front holes on each side for the 400 and 500 and to use the two rear sets of holes for the 600 and 700. It doesn't mention the 800 specifically. I figure it would use the same holes as the 700 though. Well I can't get the two rear holes to line up as the top corner of the mount hits the plastic front grill piece. So I mounted it using the two front holes and now the brushguard seems to be a little low, the headlight guards aren't centered around the lights. If I could use the rear holes like instructed for the 700 that would raise the hole unit up a bit and would probably look better, but I have the interference problem. I could trim the mounting ears or the plastic a bit and make it fit but before I do that I though I would bring it up here? Anybody else run in to this?
Thanks
Andy

I have the 700 and had to use the front holes because of the interference. I never really thought is looked bad though, and didn't worry about it.

Cutty......I got an 05 700 EFI and I had to use the front holes too. It does sit slightly lower than it would if the rear holes lined up but it doesn't interfere with the lights.

I had the same problem on my 05 700 I took a dremel tool and carefully notched out a small amount of the plastic bumper so that the brushguard could go up about a 1/4 of an inch and it looks great the headlights are centered.

I'm with you now Paz, i just got done notching my plastic a bit and the brushguard looks 100% better in my opinion! It is now where it is supposed to be. I don't know why Polaris is so screwed up on the directions, but you guys that mounted it low, look at it real good then mount it right and you will appreciate the difference. the headlights are now perfectly centered in the light guards. It was easy work with my air tool and a carbide burr.

Default Brushguard mounting question

Was looking at my front end again last night. Doesn't look too hard to slot the plastic. Guess I'll be trying the mod this weekend
