Default CLEANING ITP ALUMINUM RIMS???

i had my mud tires off for a couple months and put them on today... now the rims have some spots or something on them and i scrubbed on them and it will not come off...any ideas on how to remove this or what to do? thanks all in advance

If they are like my type 6 they are polished aluminum and probably need polished. What type are they?

get this polish it looks like cotton candy it's pronounced water but spelled different it come in a roll in a tin can and you tear off a piece and rub this on it will turn black just keep on rubbing it on untill it's good and black then take a clean rag and rub it all off they will look like new and will leave a protectant film on the wheel for a little more protection i think wizard make this i have used it many time and works great.

If they are really bad you might have to hit them with some fine steel wool. Most likely you just need to apply some elbow grease on a clean cloth and some aluminum polish. I used 3M on my truck rims and they cam out cherry, only took me an hour a wheel [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]

Get a mothers power ball, they will look better than new in no time

I use flitz and their buff ball. I also really like mothers. their stuff works great too.

look at the pics of my quad in my pro, i shined up my rims with mothers and they look like new in no time! i just finished polishing them up this weekend and painting my rear hubs, i'll post pics later tonight[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

DITTO on Mothers mag wheel polish.But it takes elbow grease and time.The price we pay to look purty[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]
