Wont start/ETC problem
Got a 94 sport 400L that wont start. Started fine the other day. Re-routed the throttle cable and now it won't start. It fired up once but as soon as I gave it gas it died. Now it doesn't even sound like it wants to start. Did i mess something up with the ETC? How does the ETC work? Any help appreciated.
Thanks

Wont start/ETC problem
the etc is pretty straight forward. if the two contacts inside touch it closes a curcuit causeing a short and shutting down the motor. if you take the cover off the throttle make sure they are not touching.
another thing to do would be to unplug the ETC fron the throttle assembly just forward of the wire if the machine runs then the insides are touching. You can;t tighten down the screw inside the assembly all that much or the it has to be kibnda loose otherwise the ETC will touch and won;t disengage. the throttle may also get stuck.(I had this happen)
