Maybe he learned his lesson, hopefully that lesson isnt to come back when he can with a gun for revenge. happend to my younger brother when he thought it would be a good ideal to beat a kid up above and beyond what was needed.

Deadly force is deadly force. Doesn't matter if you use a .45 or a well placed chop to the throat with the edge of your hand. It's intent and ability that defines deadly force

I am on your side wild1. I too would not be too happy to find someone trying to rip off my hard earned stuff. If you let your 2 German Shepherds chase them down while on your property/ in your house. Could you get in trouble for that?

Here is what would happen to some little punk breaking into my house. They would be a midnight snack. Does'nt he look hungry? Lol.

The funniest thing is that i do have a dog and it just so happens to a 105 lbs doberman named cujo , but all this happened so fast that the dog was in the house . Lets just say he was lucky that for some reason the dog didn't come outside with me , it's probaly a good thing cause the dog would have shreaded him and the guy could have sued me , from what the cops said. The dog follows me were ever i go but the one time he didn't , this happens . Like said it all just happened so fast that it didn't even register to me or the wife when all this was going on to unleash the beast.Lucky for the guy , but with the situation under control and the whoopin that i did , the dog would have maybe been overkill .

Lol. Well I am a girl so I don't know how well I would do in a fist fight w/ a guy although I can hold my own. For my safety I am glad to have the 2 German Shepherds and a big fiance. In case it happens to you again and you are not home for your wifes safety I am glad you too do have a dog. Although I think word will get out to stay away from your place. LOL.

Oh dear ..... Now we have mean dogs ?
I had a neighbor once who wanted to put a fence up and let "man eaters " as he called them roam inside to protect his property . This is where I had to draw the line . I am not going to live around viscious dogs , we took legal channels to stop the fence and put and end to it right there . We were farming around this old abandaned shack the guy owned and I guess he valued the 3 junk cars and the junk appliances scattered about . Besides all that , I used to like to tresspass and hunt rabbits there in the winter ;-)
Mean dog owners , I have a question --- how do you keep mean dogs from attacking aunt Mable when she walks in the door ? Sounds like more of a liability than an asset .
Rick
PS ---> Get a beagle.
That reminds me , once upon a time 25 years ago I was at a local town festival , about 1 am the county police showed up with their K-9 division , I made eye contact with one of the dogs and this mutt went balistic . I then told the officer that they ought to take the dogs back to the kennel before someone gets hurt . Kind of nutty to have police dogs at a carnival . ~~Then , for no reason at all , they requested I go home . LOL
Have a nice day guys !

Well now my German Shepherds are not mean to me or the family. They are very protective dogs by nature and if some one were to break in or try to hurt one of us then they would be mean at that point. They are very nice to the people they know and love. Plus they are very smart. That's why cops use them. LOL. They know the difference between Aunt Mable coming for a visit and some punk kid they have never met trying to steal something. Plus they have much better hearing than us so they start barking as soon as someone comes on your property.
