Well,

I pulled the starter today and opened it up to find one of the four brushes was stuck! I cleaned everything good, put it back and it works like a charm so far! I'm hoping this was the problem.... One question though, I did not see a way to remove the bendix gear without pulling the side case on the engine??? Anyone know about this?

Do you have oil to worry about or is it sealed once you pull the cover??

You pull the right side cover to get to the bendix and there is not oil in there.
