I just purchased a '05 SP 500HO and paid $5775 locally. Not the lowest price out there, but this is the lowest I could find in the area. I could have driven to Abernathey's or Chattanooga but would have only saved about $100 - $150 after paying for fuel & othere expenses so I figued it was a good idea to stay local if that was all I was going to save. Plus I didn't have to waste 1-2 days driving, which would have been BORING! I went with the '05 500HO because I wanted red in color, EBS, PXT's, brake/shift thing and the fuel shut-off on the left side, and didn't want to spend the money for the EFI if I really didn't think I needed it, plus this is the first year out with the 500 EFI.

 

The 500 is a real smooth machine, more than enough power for most casual -hard riders! Watch that EBS on an icy trail going down hill! mister throttle will be your friend Does the 500 05 have aux gas setting along with off and on?

The fuel shut-off on the left side is only "on" and "off". There is no aux. setting.
