Thanks for the help...I'll try swapping the battery before I get to worked up

 

If the battery checks out good then check the main power cables coming from the winch and make sure one is not pinched under the winch mount plate. Seen it once and it kills it quick if its pinched good.

 

You might try simply fully charging the battery first, if it was low on charge to start with using the winch repeatedly would cause the system voltage to fall to low hence your stalling. The charging system output won't power the winch alone, you need battery reserve capacity for that.

 

I'll check the for the pinched cable and charge the battery and will update. Thanks for all the help.

 

Charlie was right. One of the wires coming from the switch was pinched behind the relay bracket under the right front fender. What a relief...thanks for the help.
