Default Need Help: clutch kit

Hey guys I was helping my brother put on his clutch kit today and put in the weights and primary spring. I got that done but cannot figure out how to get the cover off the area that covers the helix and secondary spring. It says to take a clip off but I do not see any clip. I took the bolt out but the cover is still on solid. Any ideas? Please help. Thanks

You may need a puller to get the secondary clutch off if it has never been off before.

what do I do about the clip it tells me to remove inthe instructions. I don't see a clip anywhere. I will go get a puller since it has never been a part before. Thanks man.
p.s can he drive it without changing out the secondary clutch stuff (just in case I can't get ahold of a puller before we go riding this week)

You have to take the secondary clutch right off of the quad. If you already have the bolt out, it should pull right off. The clip that they are talking about is on the backside of the clutch. You will have to get someone to push down on the helix to get the clip off. Use a pair of c-clip pliers, and you should be good to go!!

You can run it with the stock secondary parts .Just put the belt and bolt back on if you cant get a secondary puller.Soak the inside where the bolt goes with some WD40 and see if that helps.

will their be a performance difference with the stock secondary parts vs what they sent me. He also got the airbox mod (which is already installed) and I still have to redo the carb. He also has a whites brothers exhaust tip on the way (on back order though). I can't wait until it is done.
p.s he got an orange primary spring. They told me it would work the best for his kind of riding.

There will be gains with the secondary mods like better backshift and belt grab.
Dont know about the orange spring but if it came in a kit it should be ok(what brand of kit)
