Default Tire Performance in snow

The reason I say that skinnier tires are better in the snow is because there is less surface area so you can glide through deeper parts easier.

um sorry buddy but wider tires are better in snow lol. why do snowmobiles with wider longer tracks do better in the deep stuff? cuz it gives them more flotation.

The width of a tire affects the psi [under the tire]thats why My 7" winter tires for my truck do so well , not only do they cut through but they have more wieght on a smaller area . But when riding around here in the winter ,the only time you are going to go anywhere is when riding on a packed skidoo trail , and thats when you want flotation, so You dont break through the Crust .
