I think these are the best stock tires being offered. Polaris started it but I think Arctic Cat and Bombardiar offers them now too.

The other Jap manufacturers give you absolutely crap stock tires. The Grizzly probably comes with the worst tire package. It comes with rolled/stamped aluminum rims that are about as strong as tinfoil and cheap 2-ply tires. I rode with a guy that got a brand new Griz and he got flats from punctures nearly every time we rode......horrable!!!

The stock tire packages on the other Jap machines are not much better.

Additionally it has been my experience that many of the Jap bike guys will berate the Polaris Sportsman for being heavier. The tire packages are simply indicative of a universal disparity between the machines.......The Polaris Sportsman is heavier because it is built far more heavy duty than the Jap machines through and through.
