Low speed wobble? Tires?

Low speed wobble? Tires?
Just got back tonight from my 1st 100+ mile ride on the new Sportsman 700. Some of the trails I was on I was riding through towns on blacktop at 10mph. At this speed I noticed I was getting a weird shimmy or wobble and it felt like it was coming from the rear tires. I couldn't feel it on dirt at all either at that speed or going faster. Was I feeling the tires flexing on the pavement or do I have a problem? It seems really odd that I can't feel it on dirt or gravel, only pavement. Is this something the PXT radials do at slow speeds on hard surfaces? Other than that she rode strong and smooth all day no problems whatsoever. Anyone else have this with the new tires? It isn't just a light wobble, it's really noticeable but only around 10 mph and only on pavement. I'm just hoping I don't have another problem of some sort. BTW I had 6 lbs of air in each. Thanks in advance, Brian

Brian,
I have an 06 also and mine will shimmy a bit at low speeds on hard roads it smooths out about about 15-20 MPH. I think i's just tire balance and the fact that the tires were not designed with street use in mind. I've riden a BF750 with ITP 859s and it road like crap on the street but on dirt, grass and what not it was smooth as slik. Hope that helps. mine does it also. I think it just a ballance issue and that's not a critical need on soft ground

Low speed wobble? Tires?
Anyone rode on blacktop at high speeds with these tires and if so how are they? The side trails we usually ride on were closed till this weekend yet. They have alot of trails on paved roads and our group usually goes 55mph plus down them as this is the speed limit. It gives us a chance for bragging rights also. Just hoping they aren't mushballs at high speeds on pavement. I'm kinda new to atving and going through a sweeping corner at 55mph still is kinda a scary feeling to me. Hoping these tires don't add to that feeling. I seen in an earlier post by you stendori that you said they side roll alot? Is this at high speed? Thanks, Brian

Low speed wobble? Tires?
I've run between 0 and 60 mph on paved roads the first day I got the bike and that included a drag on dry pavement. The bike seems to float around a bit until i hit about 20 to 25. I run through my hood so I stick to the legal limits. Don't want to PO the neighbors. I don't mind the rough ride. Try running pavement on some IPT 589s. Thats rough.

I have some good expierence on pavement, almost 2000 miles of road on my quad
What i did notice with the stocker tires there happens to be wheel weights on rim, and i really want to know who balances an atv tire... most are considered baloon tires anyways... i took these weights off when i mounted my new "mudwiser' tires and the wobble that i notice before almost disappeared
