wet sportsman 500

I dunno 'bout your sportsman, but my 00 TBlazer has a drain plug under the recoil to drain the starter. I'd grease it to push the water outa the bearings and bushings, and maybe check the cv shaft boots, in case they're full of water.

This is what you need to do? I ride in a lot of water and i sunk my atv before the best thing to do to avoide any problems is. Chang all of you oil even gear case and tranni oil. Because if you got in water that deep then water is probly in the air box and engine. So change all of the oil trust me. Then clean out air filter and get any water out of air box. Drain carburater very good. Also drain belts and recoil start. Also Drain muffler open clean plug on mufler (details in owner manual) Aftr that you good to go!!!
