Default 06 Sportsman LE ?

Was wondering I'm interested in the 06 800 LE, Silver and like all painted LE's, I am wondering has there been any problems with paint chipping, pealing, coming off, scratching easy.
I had a friend who had Mossy Oak camo back in 2001 on his HO and they had to give him a new body, as in yellow as it started pealing off, I live in Canada so we have very hot to very cold weather. So now I'm doing research on the LE Silver, and want to make sure its going to last just like a normal one.

Thanks

The Mossy Oak is not painted on the plastic. It is dipped in a thin film that floats on a tub of water. They showed on TV on an outdoor channel how they coated those things. I've not heard of that stuff chipping off but it will wear off depending on how much mud you ride through. If you put your feet on your fenders a lot when crossing water it will rub off very easily. Are you sure the LE is painted? Since when did Canada get very hot? I've never experience very hot weather there when fishing during the summer months?

Hot and Humid here is 38-40 C.

Thanks, just wondering if anyone has one that can let us know what they have put it through. My fatherinlaw just bought a 06 Red 800, he loves the thing, can't believe the power and ride quality it has, coming off a traxter, no wonder.

Bought the LE model and have not yet experienced any problems with paint pealing and seems to be holding up and not scratching easily.

I bought my LE on 12/30/05. I have a bunch of tree limb surface scratches on the fenders. I havent tried it but , the dealer claims that you can buff them out like you would on your car.
I winged a pipe with a mushroomed over top that was sticking up out of the ground one day and slightly cut/cracked the fender (about 3/4 inch long) and the paint didnt start chipping or try to peel.

As far as the hot and cold weather: it hasnt been that hot yet but we did alot of rideing when it was as cold as 10 degrees with no problems.

theres nothing you can do to destroy a sportsman, people have ran them dead on into tree's at 25 mph and all they needed was a new front fascia and radiator.
