I agree I don't think you will see an atv over 800cc due to many state restrictions in size and weight.
What was probably saw was a prototype unit..... I would say polaris is always testing new designs and it might just be a concept unit to look at other transmission options and ways to make the atv's lighter.

Nobody will make a quad for the public that is over 800cc . Its not concidered a atv after that, it is a OHV, and i believe you would also need a motorcycle licence to operate one. Every year someone says that the brand they like is coming out with some outrageous quad, and it never happens, and probably never will, unless the law changes and alows us to operate them without a special permit or license
