800 cv joint
The first weekend out on my 700 the front boot tore and blew out the CV joint....no problem under warrenty I thought......wrong.....When my dealer called me and said it wasn't under warrenty and it would cost something like $465 to fix it I went through the roof told them to shuv the F'in thing up their **** and I wasn't making another payment on it and they can tell Polaris to shuv it as well I told them to keep it and sell it. My dealer called me back an hour later and said they would eat the cost of the repair, I would only have to pay for overnight shipping of the parts, $63, I wanted it for the next weekend. Anyhow I was satisfied. I immediately bought Stick Stopper A-Arm guards $100 to my door and have NOT had any further problems with torn boots or CV joint problems. Go to CandSsales.com for Stick Stoppers.

i have an 05 800 last year i snapped 2 shafts supposibly because of the cv boots and then i had to pay full price for both shafts and also the front diff let go. so i had to pay for a new one also all in all last year with 500 miles on my new machine i spent 1700.00 on it to include other broken parts. i was pretty pissed because polaris didnt cover anything at all.

well i already bought some stick stoppers for mine and the wifes machine, should be hear next week. did get them thru c&s sales. i can see the boot ripping and not being covered because thats the hazard of riding. but their should be a little leway on brand new machines. speaking of new machines who out here had their first service done by their dealer? what was done for the service. i pd 90.00 for a damn oil change and a little grease and thats it.
