Thanks for the info. floodrunner. I installed the diode in the override circut and it seems to be working. I also installed a switch so I can have all three lights on at the same time. I was wondering if the charging system can keep up when they are all on?

I’ve been doing this type of modification to SPs and Mags ’98 & up, along with Hot Grips and Thumb Warmers. Although it isn’t a good idea to let the machine sit and idle a long time with all this stuff turned on, we haven’t experienced any problems that would point to excessive current draw. If you want to get more technical about it and have a volt-ohm meter, check your voltage at the battery with all your lights etc. on. Throughout the rpm range it shouldn’t drop below 12.5 volts. Enjoy the mods!

Floodrunner, you're quite welcome . I think I'll take your suggestion and order a spare brake lever. This is the second time in six months either my buddy or myself had to ride out of the woods without brakes. It's no fun.
I just got back from the doc's and I broke a rib. Not much they can do though. I just have to let it heal.
