Am I crazy?

I got my frist quad at 33 ('01 Warrior). Prior to that I rode my grand father's (now my father's) 82/83 Suzukie LT125 whenever I was near it.
When I was 16, my ride was a 1980 Yammi Enticer 250. That was a nice little snow machine .. loved that ..
Never owned a motorcycle .. probably never will. Would love a street/dirt bike though.
Human nature is to want it all now, rather than to wait. If there's a quick and easy way to get something, we usually do it. Is it for the best? Usually not.
Good luck with whatever you decide, but don't be too hasty.

my buddy thought about his decision for about a week..
all the sudden he was on "SELL QUAD MODE"
went, sold his quad and bought a dule purpose dirtbike a week later and now he's got plenty of payments to make...sure he'll have fun with it on the road....riding by himself
i've thought about sellin my quad for the past year now, i've gone back and forth in my decision, it's wierd how u can change ur mind, ur never really sure on what u want at this age

Scooter...I am going back a few years (22 in fact) but the tranny was never what you would call smooth when shifting and finding neutral was a skill onto itself. I do remember that every shift was accompianied by a resounding clunk if you were just running through the gears in a leisurely manner but not such a problem if you were running through them quickly. The bike also had a lot of false neutrals. Biggest problem with that particular bike was the constant cleaning and adjustment of the points...almost a weekly chore. Other bikes that have been in the stable were an 84 Goldwing, 89 Goldwing, 98 ACE Tourer and a bad experience with an 85 Nighthawk S (implulse purchase cuz it looked so good on the dealership floor). And now I have almost 0 interest in motorcycles...funny how ones outlook on life changes.
NL Warrior...my first sled was an 81 Citation 3500. Man how I loved that little put-put. You and I if we had been handing out would have had a lot of fun back then. First winter I had it was during the teachers strike that lasted a few months...best winter of my young life.

That's the noise.
I'd say my interest in street bikes declined greatly after I had a truck pull out in front of me.
It's bad enough driving around here in a car or truck.

You are sharp beyond your years. I remember at that age wnatin to do all that stuff but wasn't able to until later. In retrospect, I am so glad I didn't/wasn't able. You'll see down the road, impetuosity brings regret and woulda-shoulda's.
You got it going on man, relax and enjoy the ride. If it were me, I'd use the money coming in the future to build a 4x'er from the ground up. My dad did that with a '65 Ford bought out of a junk yard for $150- it was an incredible truck and a bit of a sleeper that put the big custom outfitted trucks to shame. It took him about 6 months to get that thing the way he liked it and did all the work himself, less paint and uphostery.
