i hope that if these big changes are on the way, i hope Polaris has had a few prototype models out there to work-out the bugs before they reach customer's hands.
as i see it, that's Polaris's biggest problem!
the biggest change i would like to see in Polaris is testing and proving new features and designs BEFORE selling it to the public. a simple prototype out in the field for maybe 6 months would solve this. does toyota/honda put out stuff before extensive testing has been done?YES does Dodge?NO.........which 2 of the above MFG's are known for top-quality? HELLO! i don't see why Polaris can't do the same.
i do like the idea of a lighter Sportsman. when every other MFG has a 600lbs ute, why continue building heavier? in fact from '99 to present, the Sportsman has PUT ON weight! like 15-20lbs!! WTH!

Scrammie this year is going to be like the scrammies of the past. New color and decals and thats it. Well I'm thinking maybe move the headlights into the body and paint the frame. But thats it. No other upgrade...They will never upgrade the scrammie, they did away with the TB400 because the scrammie helped fill that nitch. If they take the scrammie and turn it into a 800, they want have any sport 400.. Lets just except the new decals and move on.

Concerning the 07 Sportsman:
Ok now let's be realistic. 600 lbs? No Way! There may be some weight reduction, but most likely it's not much. Double A-arms up front is possible. Automotive style transmission? I don't think so. It's pretty obvious how unpopular Honda's is, and the PVT works great and is proven. The rest is a little more feasable, but I'd be suprised to see much more besides a styling change with more features and the above mentioned. Sportsman's sell like crazy now, no need to screw up a good thing!
