"Dodge is NOT known for reliability. it would take too long to go into detail. my first hand experience with the SP500EFI PLAUGED WITH first year problems is also very well known. no trolling here- stating first hand facts bro!
where's the 4-wheel braking in the X2 if Polaris is doing all this "extensive testing" you are claiming? where did all the leaky 700 water pumps come from in the first AND second year?
how about my NEW '06 SP500EFI's OVERHEATING, constant STALLING, all in the FIRST TEN MINUETS of operation? 8 MONTHS later they finally come up with a fix for the stalling! how about the Halkeye bending rear IRS? and the Phonix's pooping out? and the first year Predator transmissions?....and the list GOES on"

Polaris does as much or more testing than any other brand. I have seen first hand there facilities. They put nearly 4 years on the 700 with little problems. The pred motor in testing was outstanding. With that being said, the all so important white collar big executives go and cut the cost of production. the engine company does the same thing, and so on and so on. The water pump cover took a long time to find due to the lack of evidence. it did not leak until it was under high RPM's and for that to happen most people were flying down the road. So they went back to the original. A cost reduction done by the engine company. The ebs has been rumered to be in testing for 5 years now. That's ride time on machines. I have heard that there have been some problems and for once they are being smart about it and waiting until they think they've got it working good enough for the public. Look at honda. They have changed there line up from top to bottom. Yhe problems being reported are just as long as everybody else. Polaris does get in a hurry alot. I'm not taking up for them. But they have been a big reason for why atv's have become what they are today. I do like the idea on the 2 style of sportsman's you suggested. That would be cool.

spyder6, It wouldnt be to hard to put in the 525 motor in the outlaw and add 4wd. I think though if it does happen in wont be a manual. Which would suck. Im not sure how much power the 525 has (acctually only 510cc) but with smaller tires and a manaul transmision it would defenitely put more hp to the ground than the renegade. the renegade will still have alot more torque though. No replacement for displacement.
on the 3cyl ute, it would be easy to get that type of hp but it would suck in a ute. It wouldnt have the low end torque needed to be a ute. Remember torque is the true power of the engine. Thats whatmoves you.
