Has anybody tried this modification? I was wondering how it would work with a K&N filter and a white brothers Pure Polaris slip on Muffler

If the box lid is the same I'd say go for it except I'd upgrade to the 800 snorkel.

 

I spoke to Odin and he told me that all three air box lids are interchangeable. I just wonder how tuned the lids are to the individual engines in combination with the exhaust canisters. It seems that the Pure Polaris Muffler is the same for all applications.

So if the exhaust flows more freely the air intake must also flow more freely and the main jet increased for more overall power. Otherwise without the richer jet the motor would run leaner on the top end wouldn't it?

 

IF that's the case you should be able to re-use your lid and get the 700 or 800 snorkel. For the record the 800 snorkel is twice the size as the 700 in diamater. It is a direct replacement from the 700 to the 800 on the 700 lid. If the PN is the same for all three then I'd say save the $$$ and just buy what you need. I have a used 700 snorkel at home.
