Hey there. I'm new to this site and just wanted to say hi and ask a few questions. I recently bought a 05' Pheonix 200 ATV and was wondering what kinds of fluids are good for it when the tune-up time comes around? I know that some are better than others but I have no ides what to get and what viscosity? Any help is greatly appreciated!

hey welcome to the site! If i was you, use pure polaris products all the time. they are easily labeled and all synthetic (better) or dextron products... I am having a problem with my demand drive on my xplorer 01 and my dealer gives me all pure polaris. it keeps the wear and tear down if you know what I mean.. use all synthetic products simply. haha hope your new atv works out for you!

Ya I've read about people having problems with their Pheonix ATV's but I haven't had any running problems with mine. The rear shock did die on me over night while sitting on the trailor! The oil deamping was gone! No leaks or dents or anything! So what is the average interval for oil changes and tune-ups?

If you ride every weekend an oil change every 6 months is good. I like to check and sometimes clean the air filter after a hard ride, the trans fluid again depends on how tough you are on her. Every 6 months on that.
I cannot agree more on using Polaris fluids, although I have a friend who works for the Polaris dealer and he said for the quads Mobil Clean 5000 10w40 can replace the 0w40 polaris sells, its way cheaper too, just make sure it passes the "SG" or "SH" requirement stated in the manual. (I think its that)
Have fun with that one, my 05 was a living nightmare....its in the garden now
