Outlaw is sweet, but i think i still want a SRA.

 

As a long time KTM 520 owner, I can say it is with out exception, the baddest motor by far I've ever ridden. I owned several big bore 2 strokes such as a KDX 450 and CR 500. These were close in power. Any way I also owned an '01 Craptor. I have never taken such a beating in my life. A bike that sold for 11k decked out w/all the goodies was worth less than $3,500 in two years. I know these are not investment bikes, but please. Just look at the resale #'s on any of the Raptor short of the 700efi. They are terrible. Now the biggest point I can make. As much as I hated being a first run owner and test rat, someone had to do it. Just do a search of this site for Outlaw and see how many people are having problems of all kinds with them. The KTM line of motors are proven hundreds of times over around the world. That will not be the weak link. The problems will stem from the chassis and its inability to handle the power and forces exerted on it. One last thing,...I put my deposit down on a 2007 Polaris OUTLW 525 HO today! I believe in this revolutionary idea or IRS sport quads for the GNCC style of racing. I also believe that some must suffer for the greater good of all. I hope that they choose to address the problems with their fledgling bikes with more class and honesty than Yamaha did when their '01 Craptor trannies were disintergrating under any type of load.

 

not to mention there is a Factory KTM 580cc big bore kit. nicholas cycle is going to have a time with this motor
