Default Dash, speedo, AWD all out

Hi hi

I have a 2003 Polaris Sportsman 700.

The other day all the dash functions as well as the speedo and AWD stopped working.

I have been through the wiring diagram and got nowhere, canīt even find the fuse box :/

I did search the forum and found a topic abaot this problem but it its since late year 2000 and didīt really come to a conclusion.

Does anybody know what may be the problem ?

Hope you guys can help me out.

Thanks.

We had a similar experience on an 05 800 and found a disconnected wire in the speedo pod. Sounds simple and you may have already checked this but just a thought.

You need a new speedometer. Everything runs through it. That's why your AWD is gone. I had to get one for my 700. I now have an 800. I think i ordered one for around $240 if memory serves me right. It sucks but the speedo is your problem. Sorry.

Yeah I guess that makes sence.

I got everything going now exept the speedo.

A wire for the high beem was broken so the dash had no current.

The speedo needle moves a bit but not according to the speed so I guess my next move is to get a new unit.

Thank you for your answers.

You helped a guy in Iceland with his ATV, gotta love the internet

Again thanks alot !

If you got everything working but the speedo needle you need to take a look at the Hall effect sensor thats what controls the needle. I have had to replace 2 on my 03 700. Its the sensor down at the right front wheel.

That seems to be a problem with 700s. My buddies sp700 did the same thing, and they had to replace the whole works
