ATV Pulls ?
#1
I have been pulling for a couple of years and have had pretty good luck with my 700 Sportsman.I usually use my 589's but was wondering if I should try my carlise badlands Sportsman stock tires. The reason I was wondering is because I never run out of power but always dig four deep holes in the track and stop forward movement.Does any one have any experiance with either tires.I would like to try the bad lands but the next race I go to, last year I got first place ,but I like to go up to the next class above mine and go aginst the 800 Bomb.Wich usually they beat me with traction not power I don't believe,I have done somethings to give mine a little more snot and I have the power but need to get it to the ground the badlands that I have are all four the same size 25x12's.Any input would be great. Thanks Mudrooster

I actually use 25" ITP Holeshot ATR's. Though they are much similar to the badlands. I run 25-11's on back and 25-8's on front. Run about 5psi back and 3psi front with the rear suspension removed and front suspension strapped down. Build a maximum allowable weight bar on your front for weight. Run low range wide open throttle. Get the drag going a tiny bit at first then hold it wide open. Key you want is wheel speed so getting the tires turning fast right off is key. Run the atr's or badlands on hard surface pulling tracks. Only run the 589's if your going to be pulling on soft surface as they will dig down where as the Atr's will not as they dont have as much lug.

we pull a 800 with the polaris big wheel kit that has kenda bounty hunter tires with good results the bounty hunter tires are really flat across the tread. and a x2 with badlands that work really well also. we run 8lb in all 4tires on 800.

just like on monster trucks, you dont want to much traction that will dig you holes in the track. the idear is to have good tack and alot of good wheel spin for speed.
