Anyone know where to go for an aftermarket Starter? The OEM one is too expensive, plus im planning on selling the thing after i fix it. I need a cheap fix, any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I cant help you with it there. The scramblers/sports have a horable starter location with them being at the very bottom of the quad they get wet all the time. I bought a aftermarket starter, The one with the grease fittings and it **** out on me after 6 mounths and I dont go through that much water.

Well, I dont want to spend $300 for a pure polaris one. Im selling the thing once i fix it, and i dont care how long it lasts after i fix it cuz im going to drive it once and make sure everything works, and out the door it goes. I found one for 140$ let me know if any are found cheaper. Thanks.

Mine went out on me too. I looked for a new starter, but like you said way too much. So one day I pulled it out took it apart and cleaned the brushes and armature and it works great! And it didn't cost anything but time. If you want to buy a new one or a rebuilt one, try EBay.

Ebay starter

Ya the starter you linked to on ebay is the same one I got but from a different seller. I have emailed him and everything and they will not give me my one year warantee like they state. Iv gone through 2 starters now.
