Check the build date on it. If it's after 3-7-2006, then it has been fixed. The rear suspension is very stiff even on the softest setting, slow or fast speeds, it doesn't matter. But it is still more comfortable than the two solid axle ATVs I've owned. I removed the sway bar from my wife's Hawkeye and it rides a lot softer now, but not as soft as my Sportsman with the sway bar removed. I'd bet that switching to a larger, rounder tire on the rear would make it really nice out back.

If you're getting that price for a 4x4, it's a pretty good deal.

wow!! good price on a 4x4! i paid that for 06 2x4 here in florida. i love the machine. only prob i've noticed so far is it sputters a lil bit in water. i have had people weighing all the way from 115 lbs to 2 guys weighing nearly 500 lbs on it. the lite guy loved it and it toted the 2 big guys with absolutely no problem and no bottoming out. and buy the way...it kept pace with a 750 brute force and a 400 sportsman with those 2 big guys on it!!! no...we were not riding high speed...but it did go ever where and it kept up.....even led the small pack for a while. no one has complained about the suspension. .......one other small prob. water is getting in the left headlite lens.
i recommend it. we put 25 in mudlites on rear and 25 in carlilse's on the fronts. (2x4 mind u) all on stock rims. best bang for the buck
