It's a ECM problem not ECU and it should be covered under the recall.

Coolant level is fine, the fan will cycle on and off for a while then comes on full time. It does not appear to be running hot. The sensor I disconnected is on the head next to the thermostat housing.

The fan ran all the time this morning when I put the batt charger on. It had sat all night so the motor was stone cold.

its a ecm problem we have seen this on scramblers and magnums before also.

Ordered a new ecm today from a Polaris dealer, $140.00 to the door. Let you know what happens when I install it. Thanks to everyone for the help. Del Hartline

SeaBee..............Did this turn out to be your ECM..................I was just doing a search here and found this.......................Sounds like my story!!!!.....LOL....LOL........I may be looking into my Third ECM for this quad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!........Caper..............

Sorry about the no reply to the cure[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img]. I didn't have any more problem with it after the 2nd time it happened. I had just washed it from front to back, with a press washer, the day before the batt died. I have a brand new control box i never installed. It's been fine for a year now, no problems.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]
