Default 500 versus 700

I haven't had a chance to test drive either one of the new Rangers. Is there that much of a difference in power, low-end torque, and speed between the 500 and the 700? I'm just looking at prices between the two and would like to know if the price difference is warranted.

OK, first speed. They're both goverened to only run 45mph, but obviously the 700 will get there faster. Power, this is a no brainer, sure the 700 has more power, torque lowend and throughout the whole powerband. It's like comparing the sp500 vs the sp700. 184 more cc's and the ranger 500 has 36hp, the ranger 700 has 44hp. Both are efi, so no one ups there. If you got the extra $$ get the 700, however, if the you don't or you rather spend the extra$$ in accessories the ranger 500 is an awesome machine. Personally, I like the 500 motor beter, but I would still get the 700 for power reasons. Hope this helps.....

As much as those things weigh, I'd go for the larger engine.
