Snow Traction/Tire Reversal
#1
If a snow tire makes its traction by compacting, gripping and rolling over snow; should we be reversing out mud tires (which clean things out of their treads) for better traction in snowy trail conditions.
I understand thatSure-Trac and Realtor recommend this practice. I assume it would work on a Goodyear Tracker P which comes standard on the Sportsman 500.
Does anybody have any experience reversing mud tires in the winter for better snow traction?

I had realtors on a vehicle and tried reversing them for the snow. I didn't notice a difference, though. They still dug ruts. Maybe other tires are different. It probably depends on the snow conditions too - how deep, powder, packed, etc.

I know with the factory 489's on my 00 TBlazer, going in reverse sux, so I don't think I'd reverse them for better forward traction. See if you go better forward or backwards, then decide to switch 'em. I know I wouldn't with my tires.
