Carberator problem

Default Carberator problem

Okay i have a 86 polaris trail boss that i am trying to get to run, when i turn it over gas sprays out the back of the carb, does that mean i need a smaller main i have a 155 in there now?

main jet has nothing to do w/ the starting of the the bike only from 1/4 throttle to full throttle. are you refering to the air box side as the back or front. is the bike flooding maybe the needle and seat are dirty or worn out.

the air box side will spray out gas but if i open the throttle it dont spray anymore

is this w/ it running? did you check to make sure your floats not sticking.

it does it both when turning over and IF it does start then yes it does it when it is running and i checked my float and it seams to be fine does it need to be adjusted maybe?

like i said in your other question pull the plug and you can tell better if its getting too much gas.
