It's true!! I was in the middle of setting up a network in the game room and the phone rang. I checked out the caller ID and it said "out of area". I knew it was a sales call and almost didn't answer it. I figured it was MCI again so I wanted to give them a bad time and picked up the phone. It turns out it was a Polaris rep checking up on my machine. I was shocked! He asked how it was doing and if I had any Q's. I raved about the Xplorer then asked about the 700 rumor. He said it is being released next year and it will be in a Sportsman to start off with. There is talk about a sport quad but nothing confirmed. So, that's right from the horses mouth . I commend Polaris on the follow up call of their customers. It shows a true concern on their part.

I was surprise they called me. After I bought my the machine, I received about 5 different surveys asking about the dealer and the quad. I filled every one out and sent them back. I thought it might help if I had a serious problem after the warranty expired. Maybe that is where they get the info needed for the call.

It'll probably weigh about 1200 pounds.

This new 700cc engine in a Sportsman is going to make me think for a moment? Now the only thing I disliked about my Xplorer is the frequent chain adjustments,so I was concidering changing over to the 700cc[all shaft drive] Sportsman again, but my new chain and sprockets [all free of charge] have NOT needed an adjustment since I got it back from the dealer.Thats well over a 100 miles. If the new chain/sprockets continue to keep me happy, what am I to do?This is going to be a TOUGH decision,

Bill, Here's an idea:

Buy the new 700 for you...oops!! I mean for your wife and she can let you ride it once in a while!

The best of both worlds.
