I have a 99 Polaris Sportsman with 15,000 miles and replaced no parts other than a few back boots. I love the AWD system, has never let me down. Change the fluid in it every year.
The only way i can see a polaris hub locking up is no oil in them. Bearings got to hot and seized together and hung up. Polaris is the best machine i have owned, honda can keep all there crap machines. dang engines fall apart, and bearings go out all the time.

I'll back the possibility of the milage anyway. My 99 scram has over 20,000 miles on it if you add up the 3 speedometers. First one quit workin and the last 2 liked trees. I haven't put anymore back on it. It got expensive. I have been riding for nearly 3 years without one now. But I haven't put near the miles on it as of late. Between getting married and all the adventures that come with that and all my buddies kinda going the same route the 5 hour rides 2-3 days a week don't happen anymore.
