I'm having a problem starting out in high gear. This thing doesn't want to get out of it's own way. Low gear is no problem.

 

Hey, there's a bunch of great people here who will help ya out, but we're gonna need more info-just exactly what is it doing? Is the engine revving but the quads not moving? Is the engine bogging down and not revving up?

 

might be that the buttons in the secondary are broke, worn out.

 

stendori may be right,, i have replaced mine twice.... how your belt look ?

 

It does make a kinda growling noise. I thought maybe something was going on with the belt,so i checked it out & it was fine LOOKS NEW! Only 600 miles on quad.

 

Thanks for the feedback. All this 4x4 stuff on this quad is kinda new to me. What do you mean when you say that the buttons in the secondary are broken? I think it has to be a drivetrain problem because the engine isn't bogging out or anything. It just seems when you slow down in high gear it doesn't seem to coast much like it normally does. It stops like your holding on the brakes. any info would help.
