i went to napa and bought a funne w/a clear hose and a on/off valve... worked great..my 4X4 always goes screwey after a fluid change it engages by its self for some time , days then it just starts working ok and yes i add 5oz premium hub fluid

 

How does this work?

 

It is a small pump that screws onto the oil bottle with a hose, the end of the hose has a fitting that screws into the drain hole. Use the markings on the side of the oil bottle to know how much oil you are pumping in. You just need to be fairly quick with the drain plug when you unscrew the hose. The pumps are cheap, less than $5 from any marina.

 

Sorry I may be misleading everyone. I do this on an older magnum that uses gear oil in the front differential not the newer machines that use the hub fluid. probably will not work too well with the thinner fluid.
