2002 700 sp clutch problem?

2002 700 sp clutch problem?
Could it be that the motor mounts have moved causing the belt to have more slack in it so that when the primary squeezes the belt the belt would be up on the sheaves a ways b4 it actually grabs. Might not notice this in low range but would in hi range.
