Default No Forward or Reverse!!!!!!

A few weeks ago my Trailblazer 250's front sprocket stripped. Tonight I replaced the front sprocket, rear sprocket, and chain. After I finnished doing the work, I tightened the chain, and was ready to try it all out. It started right up, but won't go forward or backwards. It just sits there. I can put it in reverse and push it forward, so something is messed up. Is there something that I screwed up while replacing everything or when the front sprocket stripped? When I move the shifter into forward or reverse I can hear and see the gearshifter move, but nothing happens. What did I do?

Default No Forward or Reverse!!!!!!

I played around with it this morning. I can fell it get into gear. It feels just like normal. When I put it in forward and rev it I can get it to roll a few inches forward. The same thing with reverse. This thing is really starting to tick me off. It had been apart in my garage more than it has been running. I think I have used it for 6 hours since I bought it.

I just bought it and never checked the teeth on the front sprocket. By the time I noticed that the sprocket was messed up it only had 2 of the 12 teeth left on it. It looks just like it was metal fatigue. It is probably the stock one. It doesn't seem like it had gotten stuck. The new one works just as it should with the rear sprocket and doesn't get stuck. One of my friends suggested checking the belt as well, so I'll check that when I get home. I hope that is all it is. The last thing I want is a huge repair bill, because that will be the end of the ATV.

That is what I was afraid of. I don't know if this is something that I want to attempt. I have no clue about trannies. About how much wouldit be to have a dealer look at this assuming that it was something fairly straight forward? I know that is a hard question.
