clutch question...

Default clutch question...

my 02 sportsman 500 stalls when i put it into gear unless i gas it right away and when it gets going at idle its creeping. i'm trying a shim in the secondary clutch first. i have the sec. clutch apart i just need to know where to put the shim does anyone know? or have any other was to solve this?

i think u put the shim on at the end of the shaft.....not quite sure im tryin to reamber how i did it on mi moms

it could also need the primary spider shimed and sten said in another thread that u need a special tool to remove it if it is the spider and from what u are describeing its the spider gear that ur talking about whats the belt deflection should be about the width of a quater laying on its side......
