Default PROBLEM: Oil Tank Leak

I was changing the oil on my 2005 Predatoor TLD, and i went to prime the line like the book says, but when i did, oil started bubbling out of the seam at the top of the oil tank. I have a full HMF system on it and the headers are closer to the tank than the stock headers, would this have caused the leak or something else. Just wonderin if i needed to by a whole new tank or if i could patch up the seam. If i need to buy a new tank where could i find a cheap one but if i could patch it, what kind of sealant should i use? Thanks in advance

home depot has many types of sealants/glues to choose from. also your local auto parts store has many to choose from too. the oil tank came apart from the seam from the heat of the header, make a heat shield to protect it in the future.

bend/fold sheet metal in a vise and/or cut to shape with sheers. strap on to header pipe with hose clamp.

I would make it from aluminum. Better heat dissipation.
