Yes, I saw that your didn't fit. Will it fit my 2004 SP700? If so, I'd be willing to buy it. Why do you say it wouldn't be worth shipping... "personal mods" you did to it? [grin]

Well it cost me $48 CAD to buy the snorkel and gasket. I'm sure you could get one at your dealer for less than the cost of shipping. LOL I would want to sell it for what I paid for it, and I would leave shipping up to the buyer. I think you would probably be at least $20 shipping across the border. If you're still interested, send me a PM.

When you put it that way, it does indeed sound too expensive! BikeBandit shows the 2005 SP800 snorkle for USD24 new.

Thanks anyway!

It was a $27 mod not $40!!!! Looks llie the 500 has a totally different airbox. I looked at the parts diagrams on partsland.com and there are three different part numbers for 500, 700 and 800 intake tubes.

scrammytodd If I were you I'd keep looking for a way to get more air in. I think the efi adjusts itself so you don't need to worrry about rejetting. You could try it by just unbolting the intake and run it without it to see of it's worth it?? Just stay out of the mud and water!

Also, how can a 500 have a bigger intake than a 700? My old one's inside diameter was the size of a quarter!!! Do you think Polaris locked down the performance of the 700 so people would buy the 800?

It was $48 CANDAIAN DOLLARS. Hows that for a hoop job???? You Americans have got it made!!!!!!

And my 500 intake is the same diameter as the 800, so I don't know why the 700 is so small. But I think I got mine sold now, so I'm not stuck with it LOL

Itstillruns -

If what you say is the case, would
it matter on what year model you
buy? So you are saying if I go out and
buy an 06' 800 snorkel to replace/attach to my
air box lid for the extra air gain, I will just need to
manipulate it a little to make it fit? Then what
happened with good friend ScrammyTodd?

FYI, I just want to get to the bottom of all of
this and not go out and buy this to find out it
doesn't fit or can't make fit, please advise!
(or some other problem)

Thanks,

R'
