You can go larger with a dremel and some smoothing techniques! Just so you all know, if you descide to do a serious snorkle, the stock 800 intake opening has an area equivalant to 1.79" round. The size closest to this is 2" tubing. Thought that I'd throw that out to anyone, thinking of snorkling and was considerering what size to use. Anything smaller and, you'll be starving the engine before you even start it!

This shows the hose attached to the side of the airbox. The hose runs up to the top of the cargo deck.

This shows the plate covering the original intake opening.
AIRBOX LID
Just food for thought...

guy48o65 how do like that ridge runner? do you run it at Silver Lake? I used to go there annually when I was into BIG trucks. I have gotten a few parts from ridgerunner and the buggies look badass. (they know Polaris real good also) Dont know why this thread is going so long.. more air equals more performance-- in and out!

I ordered the snorkel and should see it shortly. Problem is, we had a drag race between a prarie 650 and my 700 efi. First run he pulled out initially by about 3 quad lengths but then I stayed with him up to 55mph. I removed the snorkel and raced him again with the open top in the airbox and achieved the same exact result. Do you thing having no snorkel at all could make a difference? I know that on the 500 carb model the engine will actually stall if you remove the air box cover. Has anyone else proven this snorkel theory on the 700's?
