Hey Scrammytodd, If I were a betting man, I'd say you have this brand in the rear! I have his front lift installed, and 800 X2 rear shocks/springs, and it sits level!

Hey instigator hows it going. I see by your posts that you have an 800 primary on a 700. Wondering what the difference between the 700 and 800 primaries are? Is it just weights and springs? Would you recomend one for replacement on a 2002 sp 700? Thanks trailbound

I see you are already engaged in another thread, but will respond. The difference between the 2 is this: The 800 front "pulley" (so to speak) is smaller, this gives a much more low end "gear ratio" just off idle! If you descide to get one, you will need a 800 belt too! Different length will be required, for the "deeper" front "pulley" at idle. I used alot of these: " , to help you understand it like I do! This is a great low end increase mod.

I am not for sure on that. I did the 800 primary and the H/C at the same time. To be honest with you, this mod was done before I even rode the quad. So, I have no idea what stock was like, except for the 5 minute test ride on the asphault parking lot before I took it home! As soon as I got it home, the "operating room" was prepared!

this thread has left the original question, here is my .02, I looked into lift kits for my 800 as i am running 27" mudlites and they rubbed on the fenders on my 700. what i found from the dealers and these forums is that any lift you should look at longer, stronger axles if you are going to lift your bike. now, if you have read any of the gorrila axle threads, people are having lots of trouble with them heating up on trails, the axles need to be cool, ie. lots of water, deep mud running. the problem with them heating up is that the grease is heating up so much that it is leaking out of the boots or breaking the cv boots in extreme cases. what i ended up doing on mine is installing a 1" rubber leveling spacer in the front, this has kept the stock ride, the tires have never rubbed and the axles are still going strong. if you are going to use the bike for heavy mud bogging ONLY give it a lift kit, bigger longer axles and have fun, if you are going to be in a lot of different locations, trails, rocks, mud, snow, i would stick to a leveling kit, this will give you the best all around ride. with the 27's and the 1" spacer, i have 14" of clearance at the lowest point, this is lots of clearance for most applications.
