Outlaw 90 problem?
#1
Just bought a 2007 Outlaw 90 yesterday. This is our second Polaris purchase, we also have a 2006 Predator 90. The kids drove it around the house about 25 times and I could not help but notice a slight popping noise coming from the exhust about every 5 seconds. It does not pop when idling but soon as you give it gas to start moving the popping begins. Has anyone had this problem? or is it a problem? Any ideas before I take it back to the dealer.

Sounds like you still have the jumper on the CDI that acts as a speed limiter.
Not sure on the Outlaw 90 if it works the same way, but on the Predator 90 it has a speed limiter that you have to take off of the CDI. If you look at the CDI there will be a small metal jumper that limits the rpm's and will make that popping sound on wot when in place. It is held in place by 2 phillip head screws. You simply take out the jumper and it allows the engine to rev all the way.

Thanks, but the 2007 Outlaw 90 does not have a jumper on the CDI. Polaris took that away from the Outlaw 90. The only speed limiter it has is a screw that you turn in and out on the throttle (just like on the Predator). I guess I will have to take it back to the dealer.
