Hey Polaris, where's are your 2008 line ups?
i have found through calfornia air resources that they have Approved Polaris engines for the following Models ----
Sportsman 300 17 Hp (which is replacing the hawkeye More than likely)
Sportsman 400 22hp (which will replace the 450 sportsman)
Sportsman 500 28 hp
Ranger 500 21 hp
the Documents are dated may 17 2007
Looks like they are gonna chop the hawkeye name and rename it to sportsman
The 400 Sportsman is gonna be Econimically priced to compete with all the other 400 class 5k machines.

2008 POLARIS SPORTSMAN 1100!

LOLOL yeah maybe a 1500 or even 2500 or better yet v8 turbo charged and a coffe pot. Maybe the should refine what they have to be better than the rest like in one department reliability not everyone wants horse power, people like to ride and not break down and cant afford an 800. Polaris still cant touch the japanese atv`s in that department. They hardly refine the atv`s and still out sale polaris for one reason bullet proof. But polaris is the best 4x4 atv out there thats easy to see they are tough 4x4`s. Id like to see polaris run one of the atv`s for some crazy amount of mile`s like 100,000 along with the other brands that would be cool id buy one then. I am intrested in the 08`s though my boss bought brp i wouldnt have.

Looks like we're not getting an 800. I looked up the Polaris 2008 machines on the California Air Resources Board website and they list the Polaris 800 Sportsman as having the same 760cc engine as they always have. Lets hope the did suspension refinements and give all of the 800 models ADC at least.
Here is a list of all machines that Polars has submitted to CARB for certification for 2008 (as i understand it):
Sportsman 800EFI 760cc
Ranger 700EFI
Ranger 700MXP 683cc
Outlaw 525 510cc
Outlaw 450 448cc
