Quad won't run unless the choke is pulled out half way. I'm desperate. Have a trip to Wisconsin in the morning and it's crapping out on me! Cleaned out the carb, emptied gas, new spark plug and still can't keep it running.

Anyone have a clue on what I can do. Really desperate right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

first thing i would check is the air filter to make sure its clean and the air intake that the foam isnt blocking it and make sure all the vent lines are clear and not pinched. did you make sure the float was setting level. just a couple of thoughts.

 

It won't idle at all, or it won't run unless the choke is out?

Almost sounds like a clogged jet.

Thanks for all the info! Up till 2:30 a.m. trying to get it going. Going to change the oil and give it another run. Wish me luck!

 

Take the carb back off and clean the pilot jet.It is the small long jet with holes in the sides and one hole in the center.ALL holes need to be clear.
