Predator Timing Problem
So, this is weird and driving me crazy. Hopefully someone can help. So my 05 Pred. was idling away one morning before a ride. After about 3 min. It died, not unusual because it is cold natured, but then it wouldn't start. So after hours of trouble shooting I took it to the dealor and they adjusted the timing. They said it was off 6 degrees. Get it back and it runs great for 20 min around the yard. I go to start it the next day and it does the same thing. What could keep throwing the timing off and how do I fix it without getting raped by the dealor. HELP I just want to go ridin'

Predator Timing Problem
6 degress is alot for it to jump i'd check the tension on the chain but you can check the timing yourself by pulling the head and putting the engine at top dead center on the comprestion stoke and seeing where the dots on the cam are at . the should be setting on the intake one dot sould be on the top and the chain should have a gold piece the lines up with the dot the the other dot sould be lined up with the top of the case on the left side and the exhaust is the same one dot on the top and the gold piece on the chain and the other dot on the left side you also have to take off the clutch cover and make sure the gold piece on the chain is lined up on that gear. i'll see if i can find the cd i have and e-mail it to you or post is on here. i would think the the dealer is full of it seeming 6 degrees is alot to be off.
