Last summer I saw several Banshees run at our dragstrip.The best stocker ran 71 MPH several with pipes ran 76-78 MPH.That was on the strip clocks(very accurate).85 MPH,only in your dreams!!BTW we are only at 720 feet elevation so they would not be much faster at sea level.

OK. Usually I don't argue...but there has to be something I'm missing.
Here's the way I see it (stop me anytime I'm wrong).
You come out of nowhere and say stock banshees never hit 85 mph, and say the best they go is seventy something miles. You're maybe right...but what's your point?
If you noticed, in the Polaris forum, most people don't really care about posts "mine is faster", and you're talking about non-polaris machines.
If you ad posted this in a context (an arguing post like the many you can find on either honda/yamaha/bombardier forum)...

So your post, WHY?
Does this look more like an adult post to you ( for your curiosity, I'm 18)...aren't you offended now? and can you explain me why you posted this? Maybe it's a real noble intention, but I just don't get it.

Simple,I have seen countless references to eroneous speeds for Banshees.Having owned 2 and actually told people I thought my Toomey equiped Banshee would go 90 MPH , I was sharing my observations at our dragstrip.Believe me I was surprised.I was hoping to lay this topic to rest.BTW,I know this is a Polaris forum,I have a 2X4 2001 Scrambler 500,but I did not start the Banshee topic.Besides you can't help but notice that many folks have multiple machines.Sorry about the crack about your screen name ZORRO.
