Ya it's possible. The wiring is there at the lights and the wires are in the pod as well. All you need is a switch and some bulbs as far as I know. Make sure you get a good quality waterproof switch.

My 07 800 has a bright backup light with a toggle switch near the key. Polaris should have those as replacement parts.

Mine came with them as well. Apperantly the Polaris switches are expensive, if you do a search Stendori found aftermarket ones with a light in them for cheaper and they look factory

If I remember right the wires under the pod are a connector with two wires in it, black and blue I think. It should be just laying in the pod, and then 2 3156 auto bulbs should work

basically i just want to be able to switch on lights when i want to back up, not necc. automatically, by putting the quad into reverse, i would actually prefer to have to manually switch them on!@

thanks again for the all the help thus far!!

I have an 06 so I have the switch. I made my own circuit and relay setup to turn on the lights when I shift into reverse. Works great and don't have to fumble in the dark for the manual switch. Highly recommend the Quadovator kits if you don't want to go thru the trouble of making your own.
