Default Polaris Ranger Fires

I know of a 2007 Polaris Ranger 700 with only 40 hours use which caught fire. Fire orignated in front of vehicle, probably in electrical wiring. Please advise if you know of similar fires.

could have been a bad short in the wiring as well that caused it.

Sorry for the delay. We just got the engineering report back, that based on the short usage time, about 40 hours, and the lack of improper maintenance, modification or other damage, fire probably resulted from some defective electrical component.

Default Polaris Ranger Fires

I just found this post from a search and thought I would add my piece.
To make a long story short I found the main power wire from battery to starter shorting against oil fill tube and arching every time vehicle was started.

Here is my horror story with the 07 700 XP. Motor mount/ Belt/ Clutch problems.

Careful, you don't want to be sued by some of the tires you've owned.

jeeeez-

none of my tires have any disclaimer saying there could be an explosion if I used a torch to remove a stubborn bead that also had a flammable tire sealer in it! it's THEIR fault!

Heard through the grapevine that the regulator/rectifiers would heat up,but didn't have any show up at the shop. Think this was only on a few early units in 2007. The module did change after January build dates. OPT
