I have a y2k trailboss325 with all stock parts.
Ive often wondered about the springs in my clutch. after reading about different tention springs. what benifit or loss would I have if I were to play around with the clutch springs.

Your loss would be about $25 for each one you try and don't like.

I don't think just a main spring will do much for you. You need the clutch kit which comes with main and secondary springs along with helix ramps. I bought mine for around $79 and was a pain to install it for the time. Had to replace my button a few times, that not fun either.

Go with the aluminum buttons next time. We checked my buddies clutch buttons after three months, they were wore down to nothing.

Thought about it, but the stocker are $2 a piece x3 verses $79. The stockers lasted almost a year so it would take me what?.... 13 yrs for the same cost less my time. I don't think I'll have this more than a couple of year. I'm a trade in for new kind of guy. You right thou for someone that's going to keep there bike until you die, this is a great thing for reliablity.
