AWD and Reverse Override: How Are They Related?
Some people on here told be I can use ATF Type F or the Polaris stuff. I'm going to be near the dealer tomorrow or Thursday, so I'll pick up a jug of hub oil and gearcase oil for the front gearcase and flush both of them out really well. I havn't changed the gearcase oil yet.

AWD and Reverse Override: How Are They Related?
I flushed out all the ATF and replaced it with the Polaris hub oil. I drained the ATF and filled the hubs with the hub oil. I did this three times (untill all that was coming out was pure green). I still have the exact same problem. Here is what happens:
-Start the ATV from sitting overnight. The switch is in 2WD, the machine is in 2WD.
-Try to switch from 2WD to AWD. Stays in 2WD and AWD light does not come one.
-Ride around for a while (10 mins or so).
-Stop the machine and turn it off.
-Start it back up again after a minute or two.
-Switch into AWD.
-AWD light comes on and machine is in AWD.
-Go forward and the shift into reverse.
-Press override switch and backup. Machine stays in AWD.
-While backing up one hub will stick (most likely the right, but sometimes the left). This only happens the first time I back up in AWD.
-Go forward the reverse and the hubs work properly.
-Whenever I switch back to 2WD the AWD light stays on and the machine is in AWD.
-Back up without pressing the override button, machine is in 2WD and AWD light stays off.
-Back up while pressing the override button and it is still in AWD.
-Eventually it'll go back into 2WD by itself if the switch is off or I let it sit over night.
I'm going to continue to clean all the wiring connections and see if that helps anything.
Help!!!!!

AWD and Reverse Override: How Are They Related?
It sounds like a switch problem to me. I would borrow an ohmmeter(since you can't find yours) and test the AWD and the override switch.
I would recommend using Polaris oil, but ATF will not hurt anything.
If you want to eliminate whether it is an electrical problem, or a mechanical problem, disconnect the wires that run to the the AWD coils. Drive it and see what it does. If the problem goes away with them unplugged, it's electrical. If it is still there, it's mechanical. I would guess the AWD switch is bad.

The power for the AWD switch comes thru the gear selector switch. I was having the same type AWD no worky problem and found out my gear shift selector switch is inop($87.35) So I jumpered (red/white wire to grey/white wire) past the gear selector switch so I would have AWD in H, L only until I can get a new switch. Not sure if that will help you but you a volt meter to help troubleshoot.
